The Parish Council meets every month, except in August - for details, please see the list at the foot of this page but note that additional meetings are called from time to time and will be added to the list.

About Meetings

Parish Council meetings are formal events with a clear purpose - to discuss and make decisions about matters relating to the parish. Meetings operate within a legal framework set out in law.

What Will Be Discussed

The business to be discussed at meetings is published in advance, on an agenda. By law, only matters that appear on the agenda may be discussed by the Council if it is required to make a decision, form a view or support a scheme.

The agendas for meetings are posted on this site and on the Parish Council notice board (outside the Village Hall) towards the end of the week before the meeting. Minutes are also posted on this site - please note that they are only drafts until the Council approves them its next meeting.

Contributions from the Public

Members of the public are welcome to attend but may only speak if invited to do so by the Chair, during the Public Forum section of the meeting. This section is normally early in the meeting and provides an opportunity for members of the public to comment on matters on the agenda or to raise issues for the consideration of the Council. Members of the public may also ask questions and these may be dealt with at the meeting or later, in writing. The speech limit is normally 3 minutes but is at the discretion of the Chair and may be less if there are more people than usual who wish to speak.
